Nov. 9 Update from Granby Town Hall
The following snowstorm information was provided by Granby Town Manager William Smith.

TOWN OF GRANBY
STORM ALFRED INFORMATION UPDATE AS OF NOVEMBER 9, 2011
TREES AND BRUSH
- The Town of Granby will begin residential tree and brush debris removal resulting from October Storm Alfred. Residents are asked to place tree and brush five (5) feet from the roadside edge (off the street) not later than Dec. 1. Collection will begin on Monday, Nov. 14.
- Tree and brush material may also be brought to the Transfer station regularly on Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. During November, the Transfer Station will also be opened on Wednesdays from 8 AM until 4PM. At this time, there will be no charge for brush disposal. Please use caution to avoid any downed wires.
TRASH

As of Nov. 7, trash and recycling schedule is back to normal.
SENIOR CENTER & YOUTH SERVICES BUILDING (SCYSB)

- The SCYSB is closed for operations starting Nov. 9. The town plans to reopen the facility on Tuesday, Nov. 15 using regular operation hours. Check the town department page for hours.
SHOWERS
- YMCA has made their facility available to the public for showers. It is required you bring your ID and your own shower supplies (soap, shampoo, towels). Location: 97 Salmon Brook St., 860-653-5524.
POWER RESTORATION
- As power is restored, power lines may be “LIVE” so please use caution.
- For downed power lines across trees, please notify CL&P individually at 860-947-2000.
