After all was said and done, it didn't rain on Granby's parade. (Ed. note: I really toyed with not using that. But I did. Stick with me on this piece, OK? I won't let you down again.)

Celebrate Granby 225 kicked off Saturday morning with a slew of dignitaries marching in the parade, including U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, U.S. Rep. John Larson and various state and local officials.

NBC Channel 30 chief meteorologist and Granby resident Brad Field graciously emceed the event, as numerous drum and fife corps, boys and girls scouts, classic cars and floats passed by.
