A Constitutional Amendment Ballot
Question
The following question will also appear
statewide on the November ballot:
1. Shall the Constitution of the State be
amended to remove restrictions
concerning absentee ballots and to
permit a person to vote without
appearing at a polling place on the day
of an election?
This ballot initiative, if passed, will
allow the opportunity for state statutes to
be amended by the legislature in future
sessions regarding no excuse absentee
balloting and early voting. Currently the
Connecticut State Constitution prohibits
both.
