Princess Storytime At Granby Library A Royal Success
Miss CT Teen Samantha Sojka reads stories to children at Granby Public Library.
Princesses in waiting prepared for their visit with Miss CT Teen USA, Granby’s Samantha Sojka, by making crowns to wear at The Granby Public Library on Saturday.
Excitement surrounded the arrival of Sojka, who was there to read them princess stories. She entered the room wearing a bright pink gown and her official crown.
While the children gasped and cheered, Sojka greeted them and posed for some pictures.

'Pinkalicious', 'Fancy Nancy' and 'Good Night Princess Pruney Toes' were among some of the stories Sojka read to the girls.
After reading 'Fancy Nancy,' Alyssa Rossi, 5, raised her hand and shared, "I got Fancy Nancy shoes on now."
Lynn Monegan and her two daughters, Lauren, 5 and Lindsey, 3, attended the event.
“It was a wonderful opportunity for the children, my youngest was so excited, she always dresses like a princess,” Monegan said.
After story time, Sojka autographed pageant pictures for the girls.
Carolyn Bystrowski, 6, was thrilled and told Sojka “I like your autograph- you are pretty in this picture.”
“It was so much fun, as soon as I got here, I noticed how much the kids were really into it, it made it a blast,” Sojka said.
Sojka cheerfully shared with me that she was a part time student at UCONN.
“This is really important to me, being a part time student allows me to be available on the weekends to fulfill my pageant duties,” she said.
She most recently made an appearance at the Special Olympics Hall of Fame dinner in Southington. Sojka was alongside Senator Richard Blumenthal and ESPN Personality, Kenny Mayne at the event.
Looking forward, Sojka will be a guest judge at The Best Buddies Talent Show in New Haven on March 31st.
