RDA Registering for Fall Classes at New Location!

Rhythms Dance Academy of the Arts, at its NEW LOCATION of 2 NORTH MAIN STREET in WINDSOR LOCKS, is now registering for the Fall Session! There are classes in Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop/Jazz and Acro, as well as an Adult Tap class. Our classes are at age and experience level, and we make sure that everyone is in a class they are challenged in, yet feel comfortable in. Our prices are the most affordable in the area at $35 per month for an hour long class each week. We also offer a ballet/tap combo which is a 90 minute class for $50, but can be taken individually for $25. Our Acro class is geared for dance in a safe learning environment. Our costume costs are only $50 per dance, and we fundraise for any additional balances. We can order shoes for you at cost – we do not mark up any prices to make it the most affordable to you. You are not required to purchase shoes through us, but we have the option for your convenience.

Every child at every age is given the attention they need and deserve. Our goal is to make it an experience that is both fun and educational. Proper dance terminology is used at every level – even the little ones! This helps them grow through the years and levels of dance. Our students learn dance concepts and technique which culminates to their recital dance. Our staff is patient, friendly and dedicated to all of our families. We truly are a family oriented studio and take great pride in providing the best dance experience for every age.

RDA also has several competition teams that compete and perform at Regional and National Competitions, February through July. We have Junior and Senior Teams, an Under 6 Team, as well as a Hip Hop Team and a Tap Team. Your dancer must enroll in our affordable Competition Program and have previous dance experience, and not be affiliated with any other dance program. Auditions for our Competition Teams are by request.

Our new studio is spacious, air conditioned and comfortable. Our professional dance floor occupies half of our studio, giving dancers the room they need to practice and perform. The other side of the studio is a spacious and comfortable waiting room that provides a view of the class at all times! We have a play area for the little ones while they wait, an internet café with WIFI for those multi-taskers, and cable TV for those who just want to relax a bit. We provide plenty of parking and are easily accessible to I-91, Routes 159, 140 and 5.

We are also very proud to add another component to our studio. Coming soon – we will hold art classes and workshops at various age levels. We are currently implementing a new segment – “UNWineD - A Unique Paint & Wine Party” for adults 21+. Our paint parties offer a unique opportunity in Glass Painting, rather than on canvas. Create masterpieces that you can use, such as on wine glasses, drink glasses, pitchers, bowls, plates, candle holders and more! Our prices for paint parties are $25 per person, and includes all materials, instruction and goodies, coffee and tea. BYOBeverages for those 21 and older. Look for our first party on August 24th! Our Art Program for Children will begin to unfold at the end of this year.
