Leashed dogs invited to attend a dog-themed day on Aug. 20.

We may be approaching the end of summer but it's prime time for fresh produce. The Granby Farmers Market have a number of events still to come.

On Saturday, Aug. 20, the market will hold the Dog Days of Summer, with Ken Haller as entertainment. Four-legged friends on leashes are invited to attend and Mike Webster will give a cooking demonstration using ingredients from the market.

Aug. 27 is Literacy Day, when visitors will be treated to story time and Barefoot Books will be there.

Sept. 3 will be a day to honor the market's farmers, with entertainment by Cameron Sutphin. Mike Webster will give another cooking demonstration.

For inspiration, check out a list of great recipes to use with local produce, including Potato, Squash and Goat Cheese Gratin, Avocado Feta Salsa and Kale Chips.
