Sen. John McKinney (R):“The Governor’s Budget is the Most Dishonest I’ve Seen in 15 Years”

Susan Regan of CT Valley Views recently attended Senate Minority Leader, John
McKinney’s forum in the Enfield Town Hall, representing the launch of an 8-town
“Fiscal Responsibility Tour”, with the key objective to discuss Governor Dannel
P. Malloy’s budget proposal and to gather public input for the coming
legislative debate.



Senator McKinney provided, via a power point
presentation, a clear overview of the challenges facing the State given its
current fiscal crisis and the proposed Malloy FY13/14 budget.  Senator McKinney candidly responded to a full
room of attendees’ questions during the Q&A portion of the venue fulfilling
the promise to “listen and learn” from the State’s citizens in order encourage
a vigorous debate about the direction of the state and its economic management.
