Simsbury Bank Hosting Flu Shot Clinic with Farmington Valley VNA

SIMSBURY, CT. – October 20, 2014 – Flu season will be upon us soon, and Simsbury Bank, in conjunction with the Farmington Valley VNA, will be holding a Flu Vaccine Clinic on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Simsbury Bank, 981 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury.

“As a community bank, this is one way we can provide a much needed service to residents and do what we can to keep everyone healthy this winter season”, said Ken Sklodosky, Vice President and Senior Market Manager of Simsbury Bank.

The available vaccines are Regular Trivalent Flu and Regular Quadrivalent Flu. There will also be High Dose Flu and Pneumonia Vaccines available to people over 65 years of age.

“With a reported shortage of some flu vaccines this season, we encourage those who can to participate in this clinic and to better protect themselves from what is predicted to be a bad flu season”, said Incy Muir, Executive Director of the Farmington Valley VNA.

The following types of insurance are accepted: Medicare: Part B as Primary Insurance Carrier; Connecticare - Regular Insurance; Cigna; Aetna - Regular and Medicare (no plans beginning with 00); and Anthem BC/BS - Regular Insurance Only (No plans beginning with XGH XGK).
