On Thursday, the Granby Memorial High School field hockey team defeated host Somers 4-1. At the half, the Bears led 2-1 before pulling away in the second half. For Granby, Mia Olsen had two goals and an assist. Lindsey Hurlburt and Olivia Johnson also scored for the Bears. Krista Iwanicki notched an assist in the win. The Somers goal was scored by Emma Panto, assisted by Katie Fawthrop. Somers goalkeeper Jenna Jablonski recorded 14 saves. Somers (4-5) travels to Avon on Tuesday. Granby (2-4) hosted Suffield on Friday.
