Special Town Meeting in Granby Tonight at 7 p.m.

Qualified residents are asked to vote on a resolution requesting $2 million for Storm Alfred cleanup, of which the town is eligible for up to 75 percent reimbursement.

There will be a special meeting tonight in the Granby Town Hall Meeting Room at 7 p.m. for all electors and citizens qualified to vote regarding the following resoluton:

1. RESOLVED that upon recommendation of the Board of Selectmen and Board of Finance, the Town of Granby hereby approves an appropriation, not to exceed $2,000,000, for town cleanup operations following Storm Alfred from General Fund Balance to FY2012 Budget – Personal and Property Protection (Emergency Management).

By virtue of Section 11-3(c) of the Town Charter, Item 1 shall be voted upon by machine ballot at an Adjourned Town Meeting Referendum to be held December 27, 2011 between the hours of 12:00 NOON and 8:00 P.M. at the TOWN HALL MEETING ROOM, 15 NORTH GRANBY ROAD, GRANBY, CT.
