Story Stars, PTO, And Patch Social Media

Today is Wednesday Feb. 9, 2011 and there are 325 days left in the year.  The cold is back today after several warmer days.  Temperatures will reach a high of 22 degrees today and skies will remain mostly sunny.  It looks like we may be in the clear for the rest of the week but more winter weather is likely next week as a new cold front pushes south.

If you're looking for a reason to get the kids out of the house today, the Granby Public Library will hold 'Story Stars- A Nature Program' today from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m.  The program is sponsored by Friends of Granby Public Library for children age 3 to 5 years old.  Today's program  features Rachel Griffiths from Teaching Creatures with guest appearances by a hedgehog and a turtle.

Tonight the East Granby Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) will hold its regular regular meeting at the East Granby Middle School.  The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.  The next East Granby PTO meeting will take place on Mar. 9.

The Granby Agricultural Commission will meet tonight at the Granby Police Department.  On the agenda tonight will be updates on Celebrate 225 which the Commission is helping to organize along with the Granby Chamber of Commerce. The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. in the community room at the police department.
