Three Items Approved at East Granby Special Town Meeting
Among the items is the use of $10,000 for the removal of hanging tree limbs from the Greenway and the approval of the sale of $23,000 in surplus fire equipment that will be used for the purchase of a pumper.

Twelve residents who were in attendance approved three items on the agenda at a Special Town meeting at the in East Granby.
First, the residents approved an expenditure not to exceed $10,000 from the Town Open Space Fund for the removal of unsafe hanging tree limbs over the pedestrian Greenway, according to First Selectman James Hayden. Any unused funds are to be returned to the Open Space Fund, Hayden said.
Second, the residents approved the sale of surplus fire equipment, with the proceeds to be used to purchase a 1986 E-One Pumper for $23,000. Any proceeds in excess of $23,000 from the sale of the surplus equipment is to be returned to the General Fund.
Finally, as a matter of formality, the residents accepted the Bramblebush and East Granby Meadows developments as town sewers along with acceptance of a sewer line easement from East Granby Meadows.
Hayden said in a telephone interview that he was “pleased” with the meeting’s results.
