Press release
CANTON – On Wednesday, September 17, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Connecticut SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust Committee endorsed Sen. Kevin Witkos State Senate Campaign.
NFIB is Connecticut’s and the nation’s leading small business association, with offices in Washington, D.C. and all 50 state capitals. Founded in 1943 as a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, NFIB gives small and independent business owners a voice in shaping the public policy issues that affect their business. NFIB’s powerful network of grassroots activists sends their views directly to state and federal lawmakers through their unique member-only ballot, thus playing a critical role in supporting America’s free enterprise system.

“As a small business owner myself, I understand how policy passed in Hartford affects main street,” said Witkos addressing his latest endorsement. “I am proud of my record surrounding decisions that affect small and independent businesses – I’ve passed policies that promote small business growth, and stood strongly against policies that are harmful to free enterprise. I am honored to receive NFIB Connecticut SAFE Trust’s endorsement and will continue to stand for Connecticut’s small and independent businesses.”
NFIB’s decision to endorse was made based upon Witkos’ voting record over the past two legislative sessions, as well as his focus if given the chance to serve the residents of Connecticut’s 8th Senate District for another term.
