Warm September Weather, Fresh Fall Apples, Jack & His Guitar at East Granby Farmers Market

The weatherman is forecasting a warm late summer day for this Wednesday's Market, but our vendors will make it feel like early fall with a variety of early apples, pears, winter squash and other late season produce. But there will still be plenty of late summer items such as tomatoes and corn, peppers and eggplant, as well as the usual fine selection of fruit and vegetables, meats and cheeses, baked goods and much more.
All our regular vendors will be at the market this week: Chet's Italian Ice, George Hall Farm, Hastings Farm, Hemlock Knoll, Lost Acres Orchard, Newgate Farm, Oxen Hill Farm, Raw Food Central, Sweet Pea Farm, and Sweet Wind Farm. In addition, Briarwoods Farm will be with us for the remainder of the season.
Jack & His Guitar (Jack Yourous) will be our entertainer this week, his final visit this year - so be sure to stop by and say hello.
East Granby Farmers Market is a farm-oriented venue for the very best in Connecticut grown produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and other handmade and locally harvested items. The Market is open from 3 - 6PM on Wednesdays, June 19th through September 25th, 2013, and is located at The Center Shops, corner of Routes 20 and 187, in the center of East Granby. The Market is run entirely by volunteers, and vendor fees directly benefit the East Granby Public Library.
