11 New COVID-19 Cases Reported Within Greenwich Public Schools

There have been 43 COVID-19 cases reported within Greenwich Public Schools since school began Sept. 1, according to the district.

GREENWICH, CT — According to the latest update from the Greenwich Public Schools' COVID-19 tracker, 11 new cases were reported on Tuesday. The tracker updates every Tuesday and Friday.

The total number of COVID-19 cases district-wide since the school year began earlier this month is 43. Seventeen cases have been resolved.

As of Tuesday, there were 26 active cases within the school district across eight schools. Western Middle School, Riverside School and New Lebanon School had one case each; Eastern Middle School and Greenwich High School each had two; Glenville School and Hamilton Avenue School had six cases each; and North Mianus School had seven.

Of the 26 active cases, 22 are students, three are teachers, and one is a service provider; 10 of the cases can be traced to outside activities or family members, and only three were infected from in-school contact, while 13 cases are undetermined.

The tracker notes that six families have multiple positive cases.
