140-Year-Old Greenwich Home to be Demolished

The lot will be subdivided so two homes can be built in its place.

GREENWICH, CT—A developer was given approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission to demolish a 140-year-old home on Lockwood Avenue.

Two new houses will be built in its place, according to Greenwich Time.

The home wasn't on a state or national historic registry. The assessor's office dates it back to 1875, but a document from the Greenwich Historical Society points the build date to as early as 1834.
