2017 Greenwich 'Raise The Flag' Ceremony Set For July 4th
The annual event will be held at Greenwich Town Hall
GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Scouts will "Raise the Flag" at 9 a.m. at Town Hall on Tuesday, July 4th, as part of the town's annual Independence Day celebrations, organizers announced.
The event will include the following, according to a post on town's website:
- Help us raise the first American flag to celebrate Greenwich’s history
- Watch Greenwich Scouts parade the flags of the 13 Colonies
- Honor Greenwich citizens who are descendants of our founding families
- Salute patriots who gave their lives in the Revolutionary War
- Recognize Good Citizen winners from Greenwich public and private schools
- Join us for refreshments inside Town Hall
Greenwich is scheduled to hold its annual 4th of July Fireworks Display on Saturday, July 1, at Greenwich Point and Binney Park, with a rain date of Sunday, July 2.
