GREENWICH, CT — Days after a residential burglary was reported on Stillman Lane, Greenwich Police said Thursday they are investigating three more in town. According to Lt. John Slusarz, the back door of a Round Hill Road residence was forced open on Wednesday.

On Monday, a home on Shore Road was entered through a back window. That same day, a home on Doubling Road was entered through the back.

Slusarz said all three homes are conducting inventory to determine what has been stolen. He also said it is currently unclear if the burglaries are related.

Last week, a residential burglary was reported on Stillman Lane. According to Slusarz, the incident occurred sometime between Wednesday, Dec. 4, and Friday, Dec. 6, while the homeowner was away. A landscaper contacted the homeowner after discovering a back window was broken, Slusarz said.

"We went over there and determined it was actually a burglary," Slusarz said to Patch. "We don't know what's been taken yet, it's pending inventory, we just know somebody forced their way in through a back window."

Slusarz said police typically give residents whose homes have been burglarized a form to list any items that appear to be missing, and will check in with area pawn shops.

They also ask for any pictures of missing items and determine if the items taken have any special markings or serial numbers that can distinguish them.
