4th Suspect Arrested In Violent Greenwich Avenue Robbery Case
The latest suspect was arrested Wednesday on a warrant.

GREENWICH, CT — A fourth suspect has been arrested in connection with a failed September robbery at the Greenwich Avenue Saks Fifth Avenue store in which a Greenwich police officer was attacked, according to Lt. David Nemecek.
Cleveland D. Fowler, 24, of New York City, was picked up by Greenwich police Wednesday from the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility in Crosswicks, NJ and was charged with second-degree larceny and conspiracy. He was held in Greenwich in lieu of bail of $50,000 and was scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Thursday.
Fowler and three others are accused of trying to steal several more than $10,000 worth of coats and handbags from the prestigious retailer, including a handbag by British designer Stella McCartney.

Greenwich Police Officer Michael Hall was in the store on Sept. 21 at the time of the attempted theft and fought with the suspects. Hall captured one inside the store and two others were caught outside.
At the time, Nemecek said that the department was looking for possible accomplices, which eventually led to Fowler's arrest.
