GREENWICH, CT — Several ducklings were rescued from a catch basin and reunited with their mother over the weekend, according to the Greenwich Fire Department.
On May 2, Engne 2 responded to River Road for what the department called "a unique rescue."
"Our firefighters quickly went to work and safely reunited the ducklings with their mother," the GFD posted to Facebook, thanking Megan O'Brien for reporting the incident.
"Greenwich firefighters are proud to serve our community every day, not only during emergencies but also through public service calls like assisting residents and rescuing animals in need," the GFD added.
