The ordinance also restricts the hours during which any leaf blower, whether gas- or electric-powered, may be used.

Leaf blowers are prohibited from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday and from 3 p.m. to 9 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Commercial use of gasoline-powered leaf blowers in residential zones is prohibited on Sundays.

The ordinance further states that commercial and residential parcels of one-quarter acre or less may only be serviced by one leaf blower at a time. Electric leaf blowers remain permitted year-round.

Violations of the ordinance may result in fines of $100 for a first offense and $250 for a second and each subsequent offense.
