What they record is very different (greenwichtime.com) β Connecticut is rapidly expanding roadside speed and red-light cameras, but state law tightly limits what they can record and how long data can be kept, unlike broad-use license plate readers. Vendors, including Blue Line Solutions, which supplies Greenwich's speed cameras, say their systems only create records when a clear violation occurs. The piece breaks down new privacy protections, data-sharing limits, and the steps towns must take before issuing tickets.
