STAMFORD, Conn., Sept. 17, 2012 -- Richard J. Margenot, a Greenwich-based attorney at law, has joined First County Bank as a corporator. He was welcomed by the bank’s board of directors and officially became a corporator at the June 20 annual meeting.
The position of corporator is a unique opportunity offered to community representatives. First County Bank corporators play an important role as additional eyes and ears to the community. Margenot joins a group of 36 other bank corporators.

The board of directors recruits potential corporators who have strong knowledge of the communities First County Bank serves and are successful in their business or profession.
Attorney Margenot manages a busy law practice focusing on real estate, probate litigation, estate planning, conservatorship and business matters. Essentially, his practice is dedicated to wealth and health, and the strategies to preserve each. He is a member of the bar in Connecticut and New York, and the Federal Courts of the District of Connecticut and Southern District of New York.

In addition, he is an executive board member of the Greenwich Council Boy Scouts of America and serves as vice president of operations. Margenot also is a member of the board of directors for the Montgomery Pinetum Park Coalition Inc.
Other professional memberships include: Greenwich Bar Association, Pro Bono Committee; Connecticut Bar Association, Planned Legal Assistance Network of Connecticut; Associate Member Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and Fairfield County Bar Association.
Margenot earned a juris doctorate from Pace University School of Law in 1984, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Trinity College in 1980.
When not practicing law, Margenot is active with Greenwich Representative Town Meetings and involved in multiple extracurricular pursuits such as beekeeping, ice hockey, hiking, skiing and biking, to name a few.
