Another Greenwich Avenue Store Reportedly Set To Close
The teen shop is the latest vendor to fold on the popular retail strip.

GREENWICH, CT — Claire's, the teen-focused retailer at 344 Greenwich Ave. in Greenwich, is set to close in November, following in the footsteps of Janie and Jack, and the Ralph Lauren store, reports the Greenwich Time.
Once the darling of investors in part because of its profitability, Claire's has fallen on hard times and was recently called a "complete train wreck," by retail consultant Howard Davidowitz in the Washington Post.
The store specializes in teen jewelry, accessories and beauty products, and it closed 150 stores last year. It still has more than 2,500 stores throughout the world, including mall locations in Stamford, Danbury, Milford and Trumbull.
