Southern CT Weather: Rain Returns Amid Flooding Concerns
What is left to even say about the weather at this point?

The few hours with no rain Saturday night was very nice after we were pounded with heavy rain all day on Saturday but Southern Connecticut won't see a long break from the rain. The National Weather Service says there is a chance for more rain showers today, downpours in some areas and possibly a thunderstorm or two. And there is a concern on Monday and Tuesday about flooding as a slow moving storm could result in heavy downpours producing 1 to 2 inches of rain an hour in isolated areas.
In an updated Sunday advisory, the National Weather Service says for Southern Connecticut for today and tonight: "Scattered slow moving heavy showers and/or thunderstorms present a localized risk for 1 to 2 inch/hr rainfall rates and flash flooding this afternoon into early evening."
And the same concern is present for Monday and Tuesday too, according to the weather service.

Even though the radar map is mostly absent of echoes, with these sultry dew points, any showers that do develop could cause heavy downpours. pic.twitter.com/0qSV42sjHi
