Atkinson to Start in AHL All-Star Game

Riverside's has been named a starter for the Eastern Conference in the American Hockey League All-Star Game to be played Monday at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. (7 p.m.).
Atkinson, who made his NHL debut earlier this season with the Columbus Blue Jackets, has 23 goals and 10 assists in 38 games with the Springfield Falcons.

The former Boston College star leads the Falcons in goals and ranks second on the team in scoring with 33 points.
The 23 goals is tied for second in the AHL behind Norwalk's Cory Conacher, who has 24. Atkinson shares the AHL lead in power-play goals with 11.
