Back To School: Greenwich 2023-24 School Calendar

GREENWICH, CT — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Greenwich, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Greenwich Public Schools.

The first day of school for all students in Greenwich is Sept. 1. Grades six and nine go back Aug. 31.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Greenwich Public Schools

First Day: Grades six and nine orientation (early release) is on Aug. 31. The first day for all students is Sept. 1.

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 22 (early release) through Nov. 24.

Winter Break: Dec. 22 (early release) through Jan. 1.

February Recess: Feb. 12 through Feb. 16. President's Day is Feb 19, and classes resume Feb. 20.

Spring Break: March 15 through March 19. Passover begins March 22, and classes resume March 23.

Last Day: The last day of school for grades six and nine is scheduled for June 19 (early release). The last day for all other students is June 20 (early release).
