Heat Wave Builds, Thunderstorms Likely Wednesday: CT Weather
Here are details on when CT may see 'big' thunderstorms due to the remnants of Tropical Storm Barry. Severe heat is also on the way for CT.
CONNECTICUT — Connecticut is now embarking on an impressive heat wave that will keep us in the 90 degree or higher temps for days to come and the humidity will keep building as we head through the upcoming weekend.
It will feel like 100 degrees or higher this weekend. And the remnants of Tropical Storm Barry will also bring strong to possibly severe thunderstorms on Wednesday afternoon and evening and also on Thursday. There may be torrential downpours during the thunderstorms.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday look sunny but the heat and humidity will climb and make it very uncomfortable if you have to be outdoors.

Scattered showers & storms Wednesday PM - Thursday, some of that from whatever is left of once T.S. Barry. After the rain ends, the tropical humidity lingers. Hot and humid combo starting Friday and continuing through the weekend. pic.twitter.com/pKF5T7TiYj
