Bridge Renovation To Close Greenwich Road For The Summer
The project is costing close to $200,000.

GREENWICH, CT — Reconstruction of the Dingletown Road Bridge in Greenwich backcountry will require the closure of Dingletown Road for the summer between Perkins and Doubling roads, according to Frank W. Petise, Senior Civil Engineer with the town's Department of Public Works Engineering Division.
The closure will commence on June 5 and will last into September, but after the road is reopened the project is not scheduled to be completed until December.
"The project was designed by AI Engineers, Inc. of Middletown, CT," wrote Petise in a statement. "The construction will be performed by A. Vitti Excavators, LLC of Stamford, CT. The construction contract for the project is for $198,637.00."

The detour will involve the following:
- Traffic wanting to travel eastbound on Dingletown Road shall utilize North Street to Fairfield Road to Stanwich Road.
- Traffic wanting to travel westbound on Dingletown Road shall utilize Stanwich Road to Fairfield Road to North Street.
