Cause Of Fire In Old Greenwich Under Investigation: GFD

The fire in a detached garage in Old Greenwich was put under control in about 30 minutes, the fire department said.

GREENWICH, CT — On Saturday just after 1 p.m., Greenwich fire crews were dispatched to a home on Ledge Road in Old Greenwich on a report of a fire in a detached garage.

"The bulk of the fire was knocked down within 25 minutes and the fire was called under control at the 30 minute mark," the fire department said in a post on Facebook.

No injuries were reported, the department noted. The Fire Marshal's Division is investigating the cause and origin of the blaze.
