CFC / The STEP Academy seek new young soccer players (boys)

The STEP Academy and Connecticut Football Club (CFC) are currently adding new players to their lower Fairfield County development program.

The program is open to boys aged 8 - 12 years old, and offers a three season long, long term development program. New players would initially be included into the weekly training sessions to see if the program is a true fit for both parties.

The program has been developed and is run by UEFA A License & NSCAA Premier Diploma holder Rich Sutherland. Many successful young players have passed through our initial STEP Academy program and now play for a variety of the stronger Premier teams in the region.

CFC now offers a variety of options for players from their young player Academy, to Premier teams to the Boys ECNL - which offers a rival option to the Boys Development Academy, run by US Soccer.

So what does the program offer? We work on many of the aspects now overlooked by team practices but are paramount in the development of the younger player - 1v1 skills, vision awareness, 1st touch, correct technique with striking the ball, ball manipulation, 1 touch finishing .......

This is an individual development program, and not a team, so we continue to challenge each player individually so that they can eventually technically carry out the tactics their coach specifically wants!
