Chef Lidia Bastianich Will Headline Person To Person's Luncheon Event

GREENWICH, CT — Acclaimed chef Lidia Bastianich will headline Person to Person's (P2P) popular Transforming Lives Luncheon benefit on Oct. 27 at the Greenwich Country Club.

Guests attending P2P's Transforming Lives Luncheon will be able to connect with Bastianich in person. She is one of the most recognized names in the culinary world, thanks to her Emmy award-winning public television shows, best-selling cookbooks, restaurants, and as the owner of a flourishing food and entertainment business.

Joining Bastianich in conversation will be James Beard Award-winning Debra Ponzek, internationally acclaimed chef, author of multiple cookbooks, and owner of Aux Délices.

Their conversation will range from how Bastianich's love of food inspired her to launch a series of successful businesses to her time spent as a child in a refugee camp in Trieste, Italy.

Luncheon guests will enjoy a three-course gourmet meal personally selected by Bastianich from among her favorite recipes and prepared by Executive Chef Alejandro Abad at the Greenwich Country Club. All guests will receive a signed copy of Bastianich's latest cookbook, "A Pot, A Pan, and a Bowl."

The event will feature an intimate pre-luncheon "Meet and Greet" with Bastianich for up to 30 guests. These guests have the opportunity to speak with Bastianich and receive a personally signed copy of her memoir, "My American Dream." (Note: The "Meet & Greet" ticket includes all benefits of the luncheon)

Bastianich is a long-time supporter of P2P, having donated both her time and food to the organization. During the pandemic, for example, she donated pasta and sauce to feed thousands of families through the P2P food pantries.

"I am honored to be part of this year’s P2P Transforming Lives Luncheon," shared Bastianich in a news release. "The incredible work Person to Person does to provide people with essential services like food and financial assistance is life-changing. As someone who was forced to leave their home at nine years old, and create a new life, I can relate to many of the families P2P helps."
