Colleague Supports O'Neill for Board of Ed

To the Editor:

Barbara O'Neill and I were colleagues in the Greenwich Public Schools for many years. I was a part-time TAG/ALP teacher, and Barbara was the very able coordinator of the program. Later on, we served together on the Distinguished Teachers' Committee, and when I was the chair of that committee  and a major project needed to be implemented, it was Barbara I turned to for leadership and wisdom.

I am voting for Barbara for the Board of Education because she is a consensus builder. She is measured, fair, and balanced; she weighs all sides and doesn't make conclusions without back-up. She is neither emotional nor entitled; she gets the job done without offending, and the BOE needs her expertise.

Regardless whom you vote for, I think it important for all voters, Democrats and Republicans, to remember that every voter may vote for two Democrats and two Republicans. I hope that one of your votes will support the candidacy of Barbara O'Neill.
