Connecticut Weather Forecast: Warm Temps, Slight Thunderstorm Chance on Easter Sunday
The National Weather Service has also issued a Special Weather Statement for Friday. Here's the latest details on the holiday forecast.

The Easter weekend holiday forecast features plenty of sunshine, the warmest temps of the year to date and some rain is expected, possibly even isolated thunderstorms on Easter Sunday in Connecticut. The National Weather Service has also issued a "Special Weather Statement" today for an elevated risk for wildfires this afternoon because of warmer temps, dry air and a lack of rain this week
As for the three day holiday weekend weather forecast, overall it looks pretty good but rain is forecast to move in Saturday night and ending early Sunday. The National Weather Service says there is a slight chance for isolated thunderstorms on Easter Sunday, especially in the afternoon and evening. NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Darren Sweeney writes, “The next chance for rain comes later Saturday into early Easter Sunday.”

Friday: Clouds early then clearing. Temps near 65 degrees. Clear skies tonight, temps back into the low 40s.
Saturday: Cloudy, temps in the low 60s at the coast. Northern Connecticut will see more sun on Saturday with temps in the mid 60s. Rain is forecast Saturday night and there could be a thunderstorm too. Most of the rain should fall before daybreak Sunday.
Sunday: 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 12 p.m. in southern Connecticut. There is a 30 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms Sunday night up until 10 p.m. in southern Connecticut. Temps possibly reaching near 80 degrees.
In northern Connecticut, mostly sunny during the day on Easter with temps reaching into the low 80s. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms Sunday night.
Monday: Sunshine and a high temp near 70 degrees.
