Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol To Hold 2015 Benefit
Former NY Mets manager Bobby Valentine will be honored for his charitable work.

Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol, Inc., (the Patrol) has announced its 2015 Benefit Honoree will be former New York Mets manager Bobby Valentine, who will receive the 2015 Chief’s Award at its March 28 benefit.
The Stamford sports legend is the former Director of Public Safety & Health for the City of Stamford, who has strong ties to the First Responder community.
In a statement, the Patrol said of its selection of Valentine, “Valentine’s response to the September 11th tragedy, serving around the clock as de facto commander of an emergency staging area at Shea Stadium, his continued charitable works locally and his strong ties to Fairfield County make him an outstanding recipient for this award. This past year, Valentine coordinated a donation to the Connecticut Burn Center on behalf of the Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol, Inc. and the National Hockey League.”

The Chief’s Award is given in recognition of an individual who has helped improve or volunteered services for the well-being of the Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol, Fire Department or community.
