Cos Cob Harbor Dredging Project Receives State Funds
The state Bond Commission has approved $1 million for the project.

The state Bond Commission on Monday approved at the final $1 million allocation for the dredging of Cos Cob Harbor and the Mianus River.
The project was one of three dredging projects for which funding was approved. For years, boaters have lobbied for funding to dredge the harbor and river that are barely passable at low tide because of silting.
Chairman of the Greenwich Harbor Commission Frank Mazza said the work could begin in November once the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection completes testing and grants approvals. The dredging should take about two months, according to Mazza.
