Couple Tied Up and Robbed in Greenwich Home
The robbery occurred Monday night at a home on Ridge Street.

A Greenwich couple was tied up in their Ridge Street home and robbed by three masked men.
The incident occurred just after 10 p.m. on Monday night. The couple were on the second floor on the residence and had not locked their front door or activated the alarm system.
The couple were confronted by the masked men at 10:15 p.m. The thieves stole thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry from the family’s safe.

According to police, the masked men carried crowbars and are described as athletically built black males, somewhere between their late 20s and early 30s.
“A home invasion robbery of this type is fortunately very rare in Greenwich,” Captain Mark Kordick, Commander of the Detective Division said in a press release. “The violation of the sanctity of someone home is a significant crime and one which our department takes extremely seriously. This will be a priority investigation for the division. ”

No one was hurt during the robbery.
