Dead Fish Found in Old Greenwich Pond

The fish may have come from Long Island Sound.

GREENWICH, CT—A number of dead fish were found in the Binney Park pond recently.

A conservation resource manager with the Greenwich Conservation Commission believes that the fish came from Long Island Sound during high tide and were stranded in the pond when the high tide went out, according to Greenwich Time.

The killing process was probably accelerated by the high temperature, which likely heated the pond to levels that the fish aren't used to in Long Island Sound.
