Connecticut Weather: December Long-Range Forecast Released
The Weather Channel released its long-range outlook for December and says we should be prepared for some big changes coming soon.
It's going to be a nice weather weekend in Connecticut. There's no rain and plenty of sunshine in the forecast. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 40s and there isn't any rain in the forecast until the middle of next week. And yes, no sign of any snow over the next week.
While December begins with a tranquil start, The Weather Channel says we shouldn't get used to it. In a post this morning, The Weather Channel says, "Much of the eastern United States can expect a colder-than-average start to winter, especially in the Northeast."
"...a weather pattern change is ahead in December, and the central and eastern U.S. will see shivering results," The Weather Channel says, while adding that the computer models are all in agreement about the much colder weather headed our way.

"This has resulted in a bolder and colder call than we would otherwise make, given the expected warm first week of December," said Dr. Todd Crawford, chief meteorologist with The Weather Company, according to The Weather Channel.
As for this current weekend in Connecticut WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons said, "Nice weather today with sunshine and temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s. It will be windy at times through the afternoon with gusts to 25 mph. Cloudy tomorrow & temps in the 40s with sunshine coming back for Sunday. The entire weekend will feature dry weather!"

Fox 61 Meteorologist Rachel Frank said, "Rain ends early Friday, likely before 6 AM. Then clearing, turning mostly sunny! That sun sticks around straight through this weekend, 40s. Where's the cold? Look for a big pattern change later NEXT week!"
