Dispute Among Neighbors Leads to Greenwich Man's Arrest

There was a disagreement over parked cars and an easement, according to police.

A spat between two neighbors over parked cars and an easement ended with the arrest of one of the residents.

Apparently one neighbor asked the other to remove three cars that were parked on the neighbor’s property. The neighbor, identified as Paul Koch, 53, of 2 Random Rd., Old Greenwich, told Greenwich Police he was allowed to onto his neighbor’s property because there was an easement allowing his utility lines to be buried under his neighbor’s property and he had a right to park his vehicles there, according to a police report.

Police told Koch that he didn’t have a legal right to trespass on private property and that the easement was only for utility crews, according to the report. In their report, police said that several hours after the incident was initially reported, Koch removed his vehicles “but kept going back on” the property.
