Do You Boat in CT? Do You Have a Safe Boating Certificate?
The US Coast Guard Auxiliary is providing the About Boating Safely course to the boating public.

All residents of Connecticut, persons owning real property in Connecticut or persons with vessels registered in Connecticut must have either a Safe Boating Certificate or a Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation to legally operate any boat with a motor, or a sailboat 19 1⁄2 feet in length or longer.
The US Coast Guard Auxiliary is providing the About Boating Safely course to the boating public. Upon completion of this one day course, you will be qualified to obtain the CT Safe Boating Certificate, as well as a CT Certificate of Personal Watercraft (PWC) Operation. This course is also acceptable for the NY boating license.
About Boating Safely includes a wide variety of information. You’ll learn:
· General information about boats and maintenance
· Information on preparing for safe and enjoyable outings
· Navigation rules and aids to navigation
· Guidelines for operating your boat or PWC safely
· What to do in case of boating emergencies
· State-specific laws and regulations you must follow

Course Location: Greenwich Police Station
One Day Course: 8:30am - 5:00pm
