Driver Sustains Life-Threatening Injuries In Crash: Greenwich PD
A single-car crash occurred on East Putnam Avenue in Greenwich on Sunday night, according to police.

GREENWICH, CT — A person was seriously injured in a single car crash on Sunday night in Greenwich, according to police.
Around 8 p.m. Sunday in the area of 300 E. Putnam Ave., Capt. Mark Zuccerella of the Greenwich Police Department said a 2020 Jeep Wrangler was traveling west when it left the roadway. Police said the car struck a tree and a utility pole on the north shoulder, and the car rolled over onto the roof.
Zuccerella said the driver sustained life-threatening injuries, and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police did not release any more details about the driver.

East Putnam Avenue between Old Church Road and Park Avenue was closed Sunday night into Monday morning, as police worked on an investigation and Eversource worked to repair a damaged utility pole. Police said they expected the road to reopen around 9 a.m.
