Westchester Triathlon

This event is an Olympic distance race and is in its 27th year. It is one of the top multisport events in the New York Tri-State area and is open to novice through professional, young to old.

On the day of the race, athletes gather in the scenic town of Rye in Westchester County, N.Y. and follow trails and paths through to Greenwich, Conn.

5 a.m. – Transition area opens
6:30 a.m.– Transition area closes
6:35 a.m.– Mandatory race briefing
6:50 a.m.– National Anthem
7 a.m.– Elite Wave
7:05 a.m.– Amateur waves begin. Each wave 3 minutes apart.
8 a.m.– Expo opens
8:55 a.m.– First elite athlete crosses finish line
9 a.m.– Finisher Celebration begins with Captain Lawrence beer, water and food
Band begins
12 p.m. – Awards and raffle
12:15 p.m.– Band continues
1 p.m.– Expo, band, and celebration conclude
