Come Experience the Sound: From Streams Through Soil to Sea with the Town of Greenwich Shellfish Commission on June 21, 2015 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Greenwich Point in Old Greenwich, CT. The event marks the season opening of the Bruce Museum Seaside Center and features many local organizations and businesses dedicated to environmental conservation and outdoor recreation. Whether you are interested in history, ecology, ecology, or outdoor sports, this event has something for you!
Free activities include a Board-a-Boat area, free raw bar serving local shellfish, Greenwich Historical Society’s fourth annual History on Wheels bicycle tour of Greenwich Point, a scavenger hunt, free fly-fishing casting instruction and much more.
2015 marks the 9th year of the annual Experience the Sound event, and this promises to be the best one yet! The focus this year is “From Streams Through Soil to Sea” to emphasize that the local ecology in your own backyard is connected to the Sound and to encourage the public to be good caretakers of the land and the Sound.

Activities will take place around the Innis Arden Cottage and the Old Greenwich Yacht Club and it’s docks at Greenwich Point. A free shuttle bus will be available to take participants back and forth between the two areas.
No reservations required and participation is free. No park pass needed-- just tell the guard at the gatehouse that you are here for “Experience the Sound.”
