ExploreArt : A Discussion exploring Van Gogh: Irises and Roses.

On May 6th at 12:30pm and on May 13th at 6:30pm, C. Parker Gallery and ArtViewNewYork will host a discussion exploring the newest exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, “Van Gogh: Irises and Roses.” This noteworthy exhibition features four paintings that have never been shown together, which represent a portion of the floral series completed by the artist in his last weeks at the asylum Saint-Rémy.

The opening of this show at the Met, on May 12th, coincides with the very week, 125 years ago, when Van Gogh initially announced to his brother by letter that he would begin work on this series.
