February Crime Statistics In Greenwich Released

There were 12 motor vehicle thefts in the month, up from two in January, according to police.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department has released crime and incident statistics for the month of February.

Notably, there were 12 motor vehicle thefts in the month, up from two in January, according to police. Three of those vehicles had been recovered as of March 5.

"We continue to urge residents to lock their vehicles and do not leave your keys within," police said. "This also includes homes with long driveways or gates. Suspects have been known to climb walls and gates to access vehicles."

  • Burglary: 0
  • Larceny from a motor vehicle: 4
  • DUI: 10
  • Motor vehicle theft: 12
  • Domestic violence incidents: 13

  • Medical calls: 362
  • Motor vehicle stops: 702
