"There were initial reports of children trapped on the top floor and an aggressive interior attack was initiated with additional crews searching for the possible trapped parties. The building was searched and primaries were negative," Greenwich Professional Firefighters said on Facebook.

Residents in the building were able to self-evacuate, fire officials said, noting that crews were held the flames to the rear and to the cockloft, or attic, of the building.
