Firefighters Battle Blaze Near Downtown Greenwich: FD

The fire is under investigation by the Greenwich Fire Marshal Division, Greenwich Fire Chief Joseph McHugh told Patch.

GREENWICH, CT — Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire in central Greenwich on Sunday, June 15, according to Greenwich Fire Chief Joseph McHugh.

McHugh told Patch a call came in at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday reporting a fire in the 100 block of East Elm Street, which is a residential area.

Units attacked fire on all three floors of the home and conducted searches for occupants, McHugh said, noting that the building ended up being unoccupied.

No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation by the Greenwich Fire Marshal Division.
