Impact Welcomes New Board Members for 2026–27

Impact Fairfield County, a premier collective giving organization in Fairfield County in its 12th year of grant making, is pleased to announce its new Board Members and Fall Kickoff. Impact welcomes its new board members: Jen Torretti, Janelle Dougherty, Anne Downey, Chrissy Mahanna, and Lexie Merrill.

Jennifer Servedio and Annie Itkin of Greenwich will lead the Impact Board for the 2026-27 grant cycle as Co-Presidents, with Laura Daniel serving as Vice-President.

New to the Board this year are:

• Jen Torretti – Treasurer. Jen brings expertise in financial strategy and operations to Impact's leadership. Currently in her fifth year with Impact, she has served on both the Financial Review Committee and the Grant Review Committee, supporting thoughtful, data-driven funding decisions. Previously, Jen served as Sponsorship Director at Girls on the Run NYC for five years, where she led partnership development and expanded resources for youth programming. In her professional career, she leads Sales Strategy at Numerator, focusing on driving growth through data insights and strategic planning. Jen lives in Old Greenwich with her two children.
  
• Janelle Dougherty – Events Chair. Janelle is a former Director of Marketing at Pfizer Global Pharmaceuticals, where she led strategic marketing initiatives within the healthcare industry. She has been deeply involved in community and nonprofit organizations, serving on nonprofit and school boards and as an active member of the Junior League of Greenwich. Janelle joined Impact in 2022 and has served as a Review Committee Chair for the past two years. A dedicated rowing, hockey and volleyball mom, she lives in Greenwich with her husband James and their three children.
  
• Anne Downey – Grants Chair. Anne is a retired Stamford Public Schools administrator with extensive experience in literacy and education. Most recently, she has served as a consultant to the Norwalk Public Schools and as a coach to Pre-K teachers at School Readiness sites. A four-year member of Impact, Anne has served on Review Committees throughout her tenure and learned about Impact when the Stamford Public Education Foundation won an Impact award in 2018. She has also served as Board Chair of Building One Community for four years. Anne holds a BA in East Asian Studies from Manhattanville College, an MS in Education, and a 6th year in Administration & Supervision from the University of Bridgeport.
  
• Chrissy Mahanna – Grants Chair. Chrissy is the founder of Compass Consulting + Coaching, a boutique management consulting firm specializing in working with nonprofit organizations. A graduate of the Columbia University School of Social Work with over 20 years' experience in clinical, research and senior leadership positions at nonprofit organizations and academic institutions including Columbia University and City College of New York, Chrissy brings deep nonprofit expertise to the board. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Quinnipiac University, teaching Program Evaluation in the Master of Social Work program, and serves on the boards of Norwalk ACTS and Community Mindfulness Project. She is an avid yogi, lover of music, and passionate about community engagement.
  
• Lexie Merrill – Membership Chair. Lexie joined Impact in 2021, seeking a meaningful way to deepen her engagement with her longtime community. A Connecticut native, Lexie spent more than a decade in finance and real estate before transitioning to focus on raising her family and expanding her community involvement. Over the past two years, she has served as a Review Committee Chair for Impact. Lexie currently serves as Board Chair of Putnam Indian Field School and is a member of the Alumni Advisory Committee at Greenwich Country Day School. She lives in Old Greenwich with her husband Allen and their three sons.

Impact's annual Fall Kickoff will take place on November 4th. Members, guests, and prospective members are invited to learn more about Impact's grantmaking and hear from this year's grantees about the impact of their awards.
