First Snowflakes Fell Today In CT: Did You See Them?

There were numerous reports of snow flurries today in CT. And there is another storm on the way for early next week. No break for us.

Social media was abuzz in Connecticut Saturday afternoon as many folks saw snowflakes for the first time this season. There were widespread reports of snow flurries across the state. The first snowflakes of a season are often greeted with a certain fondness but once it piles up on the roads that fondness often turns to something else.

But today's snowflakes were great because it didn't add up to anything or cause anyone any inconvenience. We're definitely getting close to winter as temps will be below freezing tonight and it will be cold all next week with some days temps only in the 30s for daytime highs.

And of course there is another rainstorm in our forecast. Connecticut could see another inch or two of rain on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service says, "Winds will gradually diminish overnight as high pressure builds into the region. Under mostly clear skies, low temperatures will fall to near or below freezing across the area, well below normal for mid November.

Despite plenty of sunshine, temperatures will remain well below normal during the day on Sunday as well, only rising into the lower and mid 40s. After another cold night Sunday night,
temperatures will moderate slightly on Monday as high pressure moves offshore and another area of low pressure approaches from the southwest."
